Mahmoud Shaarawy is a graduate of Alexandria University with Bachelor in Law – English Department. He holds masters degree in Logistics, Finance and Legal affairs from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. He holds a diploma in International law from Ain Shams University.
He has worked for ElDib Advocates which has helped enrich his legal expertise in most law fields, and practice as a legal counsel for Multinational Corporation (Oracle), International Corporations (Alkan & ElSewedy).
He is currently managing a team of 18 lawyers handling around 85 companies in MEA involved in energy, telecommunication, construction, turnkey projects and manufacturing. He specializes in providing legal advice concerning all aspects of business including contracting, services, consulting, purchasing, corporate, construction and company functions.
He ensures compliance with MEA countries laws and general affairs such as land, corporate, competition, employment, intellectual property, dispute procedures and claims handling.
He has extensive experience in EPC agreements along with related financing agreements. He mainly handles agreements related to power generation, electricity transmission, electricity distribution, substations and infrastructure projects. He has also reviewed and negotiated many projects agreements related to renewable energy (Solar and Wind farms).
He reads, speaks and drafts in tri-lingual Arabic, English and French to a business level. He had the honour to be selected as one of the top 100 lawyers in Africa in 2015 by Legal 500.
