Lynda Naima Ait Kaci is a commercial lawyer. As a North Africa General Counsel with GE, she’s mainly responsible for providing strategic legal advice to GE businesses across the region on several topics: Transactions, JV’s, L&E. She also manages a team of six senior professional lawyers located in seven different jurisdictions. Throughout her legal career, Lynda played a key role in business strategy, she drafts, negotiate, and close commercial deals, projects and JVs, promote and ensure compliance with Integrity polices and guide business leaders in the development of legally compliant “Go-to-Market” strategies. She had the opportunity to work for different sectors such as pharmaceutical with Sanofi, tobacco industry with British American Tobacco and building materials with Lafarge, one of the biggest company in its domain. Lynda is capable of drafting agreements in various languages: English, French and Arabic. This legal capability enables her to work on complex transactions combining in many instances a project counsel and local counsel role.
Lynda is a registered lawyer with the Algerian Bar Association since 1999. She holds a Legal Qualification To practice as Lawyer along with a Bachelors Degree in Law both from Faculty of Algiers in Algeria. Within her career, she had the opportunity to attend leadership several trainings with Lafarge University and GE Crotonville Leadership Learning Center in NY.
Lynda Ait Kaci played a key role in establishing the first Africa’s industrial complex for manufacturing gas & Steam Turbines, Generators and Control Systems, the complex is in the east of Algeria. She was one of the key project team establishing the first tobacco manufacturing for BAT in Algeria in 2009.
As a General Counsel for North Africa, she manages to build a strong and trustful legal team in a very challenging market.
Over the last couple of years, Lynda is working along with a multidisciplinary team to establish the first manufacturing project for petroleum equipment’s in Algeria.
